The Rotary Club of Sanford is an active civic organization that unites community leaders to create change. Our weekly meetings take place at 12 PM on Mondays at upstairs Hollerbach's, right in the heart of Downtown Sanford. Through these gatherings and special events, we foster opportunities for service, networking, and personal development. Our club upholds the values of integrity, diversity, and selfless service.
About Our Club
Colonial George W. Knight, a true hero who earned Medal of Valor, made his way to Sanford bravely serving in World I! Missing the camaraderie of his days as a Rotarian in New Jersey, he took the initiative to create an exciting new organization called “Club 13,” bringing together esteemed businessmen from various fields.Before long, the Orlando Rotary Club sent Ken Guernsey to check out Sanford’s vibrant Club 13, and he couldn't help but recommend it for a Rotary charter! On May 10, 1921, the Sanford Rotary Club was officially chartered, marking the beginning of a fantastic journey of fellowship and service!
Our President
Jeanne Boothe is a sixth-generation Floridian, a graduate of Seminole High School and the University of Central Florida. She is the co-owner of Roberts Mobile Home Set Up & Service, a successful family business she has led for more than 20 years. Above all, Jeanne is a proud mother of two beautiful daughters and cherishes spending time with her large, close-knit family, who inspire her commitment to serving others. From a very young age,she was serving alongside her mother, aunt’s,and many cousins.
A passionate advocate for service above self, Jeanne is deeply committed to strengthening her community through volunteerism and leadership. She currently serves as President of the Sanford Rotary Club, where she is dedicated to expanding the club's impact through meaningful service projects and community partnerships. In addition to her Rotary leadership, she serves on several nonprofit and community boards dedicated to improving the lives of others. Jeanne is a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow award, one of Rotary International's highest honors recognizing outstanding commitment to service and philanthropy. This year,as President,she is committed to continuing and expanding our community service to include many new service adventures to our Rotary
